DNA G-Quadruplex: Structures, Functions, and Anticancer Drug Targeting

G-quadruplex DNA are non-canonical DNA secondary structures formed in specific G-rich sequences with functional significance. DNA G-quadruplexes formed in the human telomeres and oncogene promoter regions are considered as a new class of molecular targets for cancer therapeutics. In my presentation, I will discuss our recent studies on structures and functions of the biological relevant DNA G-quadruplexes and their small molecule interactions. In addition, I will discuss our recent progress on the G-quadruplex-protein interactions.
